Blair turned ONE in August and I have so many cute pictures to share! I knew I wanted to keep it small because we just moved to a new place and didn't know many people. Here are some tips for throwing your baby's first birthday party!

We moved to Twin Falls in May 2018 and Blair turned one in August 2018. That is a full two months to find friends but we are just barely feeling like we are making some good friends.
Blair is now 17 months old and when I ask her about her friends she says "Calen"! He is her very best friend and was there to celebrate her birthday with us.
Brock and I enjoyed setting up for her birthday. I didn't want to go too overboard but I'd say it was more fun to plan and decorate than anything! We had a theme of pastel pink & green, and gold. We bought decorations from target and filled the floor with balloons.

You can sort of see some decorations in the background here. I wasn't very good at taking pictures, but my friend Melissa did an awesome job.
I was proud of myself for making her a smash cake and making my first real layered cake for the rest of us to enjoy! I highly recommend trying it out. It is this recipe from Tasty.
Along with cake, I served homemade Mac N Cheese, these Hawaiian Sliders, and some fruit salad. It turned out awesome.
The other day, Brock and I were laughing about giving her a french fry buffet for her 2nd birthday. We are awful parents and french fries are her favorite food.
Back to the party. We discovered Blair hates getting dirty. Even to this day, if she has something on her hands, she asked to get them cleaned. Here is a picture of her cake "smash"!

She was not loving it so much! But it was so fun to watch! We used a plastic tablecloth from Target for easy cake smash clean-up and a cute backdrop!

We sure love this ONE year old! Happy Birthday Blair Bear!
Love, Mom
